SOME NEW INFORMATION HAS COME TO US ON SHIPPING INTO NY CITY AS WELL AS NY STATE AND FOR US TO BE ON THE SAFE SIDE WE WILL NOT SHIP INTO NY STATE AT ALL-We have in the past shipped into NY State as long as we were not shipping into area where the law suit was still going on and we were not breaking the law in any respect. THE AREA CONTINUES TO BE TO GRAY FOR US TO TAKE A CHANCE ON. ANY ONE WITH A DEPOSIT ON ANY KNIVES IT WILL BE REFUNDED AS WE GO THROUGH THOSE ORDERS. We apologize for any inconvience this has caused.

INSURANCE- HOWES KNIFE SHOP, LLC SELF INSURES ALL PRODUCTS SHIPPED IN THE US. IF A PACKAGE IS LOST, STOLEN OR DAMAGED WE WILL GIVE USPS THE PROPER AMOUNT OF TIME TO LOCATE PRODUCT IF LOST, AFTER THAT WE WILL REPLACE PRODUCT SHIPPED WITHOUT HASSLE. YOU DO HOWEVER "HAVE" TO PURCHASE INSURANCE AT THE TIME OF CHECKOUT FOR THIS TO BE AN INSURABLE PRODUCT. IF NO INSURANCE IS PURCHASED AT TIME OF CHECKOUT THE LIABILITY WILL FALL TO YOU, NOT HOWES KNIFE SHOP, LLC.

Howes Knife Shop,LLC will not beheld responsible for loss, stolen or damage of any product shipping to International destinations. We will insure if requested and purchased by buyer but all communication if insured and package not received will have to be done through the Postal Service, not Howes Knife Shop, LLC. Shipping of any order Internationally even if shipping USPS Express with tracking does not insure delivery. Besure you are prepared to assume the liability of a loss, stolen or damaged product before purchasing. Howes Knife Shop,LLC will not be held responsible in any way after Customs number is provided to purchaser.
****"CAMPING TOOLS" OR ANY OTHER PHRASE USED AS A DESCRIPTION  OF PRODUCT MIGHT HELP ON THE OTHER END WITH CUSTOMS BUT IT DOES NOT HELP IF PRODUCT HAS BEEN STOLEN, LOSS OR DAMAGED AND YOU WANT TO TRY AND RECOVER THE VALUE THAT WAS ON THE CUSTOMS FORM WHEN SHIPPED.  WHEN USPS PROCESS'S CLAIMS A MORE DETAILED DESCRIPTION HAS TO BE GIVEN WHICH OBVIOUSLY IF SHIPPING KNIVES WILL FALL IN THE CATEGORY OF PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED ITEMS AND ALL CLAIMS BY THE USPS WILL BE DENIED.

Returns/Exchanges

We try to be very competive on our pricing of all products which doesnt leave us much room for returns and shipping another product back out at no charge. Returns have become a real issue of late......Therefore all product that is on SALE, LOWERED PRICING  (HOT DEALS) or that are SPYDERCO SPRINT RUNS, other Manufacturers Sprints or Exclusive Runs will have to be returned to the Manufacturer. ALL MAXPEDTION products will also have to be returned to the Manufacturer for any QC issues with product. We are more than happy to visually check any product when asked but there are times when we get busy that it might be impossible to do so.

1) If a product necessitates a return, you will need to contact me by phone for authorization-a phone call after receiving your knife, a one on one conversation on your purchase might resolve an issue that other wise would follow our policy on returns.

2) All product must be factory new, unused in their original box w/all paper work included.

3) Return only in the manner and box it was shipped to you-we will not pay for return shipping for any reason unless a mistake made by us.

4) Upon receipt if it is received as it was shipped we will issue a store credit minus any additional free shipping on our part-what this means is we will not ship the next one out for free. If these have made it past QC then it becomes a manufacturers warranty issue to see if it falls within their tolerances, so if you choose to return to us under store policy then shipping will have to be paid on additonal knife shipped.

5) If a refund is agreed to by both parties a 20% re stocking fee will implemented with no exceptions.

6) We will NOT be accountable for problems with manufacturing or workmanship, therefore those issues will have to be addressed to the manufacturer and will have to returned to them as we are not authorized to handle warranty issues.

7) Sadly we have been pushed to the point on returns of being far more hard line than we care to be
